Orlando Campus Virtual Tour
Flight School at Orlando Executive Airport — Near Downtown Orlando
Academy of Aviation's Orlando campus is based at Orlando Executive Airport (KORL) — a
towered, active-use airport just east of downtown Orlando in the heart of Orange
County. KORL handles a genuine mix of corporate jets, turboprops, and general
aviation traffic, giving students real multi-aircraft ATC exposure from day one. The
campus draws students from downtown Orlando, Winter Park, Maitland, College Park,
and the greater north and central Orlando corridor.
As Ian, a student at this
campus, puts it: "Orlando Exec is just a cool place — there's tons of different
types of planes flying in and out, so if you're an aviation enthusiast, you'll
definitely enjoy the experience."
Pilot Training Inside Orlando's Class B Airspace
Orlando Executive sits directly adjacent to Orlando International's Class B airspace
— one of the Southeast's most active commercial aviation environments and one of the
busiest airports in the United States. Cross-country and instrument training from
KORL includes regular coordination with Orlando Approach, building the airspace
awareness and radio precision that airline hiring departments look
for.
Florida's
year-round flying weather and minimal weather cancellations make KORL one of the
most efficient training environments in the country — more flyable days means faster
progress toward certification.
FAA Part 141 Career Pilot Program
The Orlando campus offers a full FAA Part 141 career pilot program. The structured curriculum covers every rating on the airline pathway: Private Pilot Certificate, Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot Certificate, and Certified Flight Instructor ratings including CFI, CFII, and MEI.
VA Benefits and GI Bill®
The Orlando campus is approved for GI Bill® funding for eligible veterans and service
members. Contact our admissions team to verify your eligibility and understand
exactly what your benefit covers before you enroll.

Orlando's Aviation Community
Central Florida has one of the most active general aviation communities in the
country. Orlando Executive Airport alone hosts hundreds of flight operations daily
across corporate, charter, training, and private categories.
Training in this
environment means you are not working in isolation — you are part of a real aviation
ecosystem where professional pilots, corporate operators, and career-track students
share the same airspace every day. That context accelerates the transition from
student pilot to professional pilot in ways that quieter training environments
cannot replicate.
Airline Partnerships — Delta Propel and Republic Airways RJet

The Orlando campus participates in two of the most
significant airline cadet
pipelines in the country. The Delta Propel program offers a conditional flow offer
to Endeavor Air for students who complete their CFI ratings and instruct at AOA,
with a clear path to Delta Air Lines.
The Republic
Airways RJet Cadet Program
connects students directly to one of the largest regional operators in the country,
serving American Airlines, United Airlines®, and Delta Air Lines.
